The department holds "Hall of Fame" for its consistent performance in terms of academic results and
placement. As computing technology became versatile and acquired a global dimension, GIACR
has all the ingredients necessary to curve out a successful Computer Engineer that can be
measured up to any international standard of computer hardware and software engineer.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at GIACR is renowned for imparting state of art
education. It offers four years Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering. The department has
practiced hi-tech methodology of teaching with the help of latest technology meeting the global standard.
Acquiring a satisfying distinction in its performance this department has led GIACR towards its goal of
becoming a first class technical institution. The Department of Computer Science has been attracting the
talented faculties from the industry who are one of the pioneers in the Computer science Society. The
department has all the ingredient necessary for endeavor to play a major role in computer science and
engineering by promoting innovative work in software engineering, human computer interaction, and
intelligent systems and electronics commerce. We impart academic training to our undergraduate students
enabling them to position themselves as problem solver in the competitive. Students of CSE dept have
competed in some of the prestigious Govt organization like Indian Navy, Indian Revenue Services and
Indian Engineering Services. The Alumni of the dept are working in worlds top class software companies
like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Wirpo, HCL and others.
Facilities:
- Internet lab has 60 high configured PCs connected to with 100 Mbps Internet connectivity.
- 4 Labs consisting of 30 system each are connected to 2 IBM RAID Servers.
- Advanced software lab having 140 systems, supports softwares like Oracle 8i, Visual Studio, Java.
- The Campus Wi-Fi is managed and controlled by the dept 24*7
- Computer organization & Architecture lab with 20 numbers of computer terminals, EPROM program and 8085 and advanced 8086 microprocessor trainer kits, Printer Trainer kit, SMPS Trainer kit, etc.
